Senior Consultant Specialising within the UK primary care sector!

Location: Remote role supporting a practice in Cumbria

Hours: Full-time (Part-time considered, minimum 4 days per week)

About the Role:

Join a leading healthcare service provider as a Diabetes Specialist Nurse to deliver specialized, patient-focused diabetes care remotely for a practice based in Cumbria. This position offers the chance to make a real difference in diabetes management and patient outcomes by providing guidance and support to healthcare professionals and patients to optimize treatment pathways.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the NHS to implement best practices in diabetes care. Through remote consultations, you’ll support practices in delivering high-standard care, focusing on patient education and outcomes in line with national guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide remote support and guidance to healthcare teams on diabetes management and treatment options.
  • Ideally able to prescribe medications.
  • Conduct virtual consultations with patients, focusing on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.
  • Collaborate with NHS partners to implement the latest treatment protocols, drive best practices, and improve diabetes care delivery.
  • Educate healthcare professionals on treatment pathways and strategies to manage diabetes according to national standards.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
