Job description

We are recruiting for an IT Engineer on a contract basis to work for a leading Government organisation based in Wolverhampton.

Essentials:

• Must have SC clearance or be able to obtain it
• UK National with a UK passport
• Must join the OOH rota and standby
• Must have a full clean driving license

Experience:

• 2+ years in a PC field service or workshop environment
• Hardware diagnosis, troubleshooting, support, and repair, including complex laptop repairs
• Willing to undergo HP & Dell desktop and laptop training or accredited

Responsibilities:

• Manage queue tickets assigned to their Hub, ensuring updates and call management to meet service levels
• Manage hub stock, including asset management and scanning items in/out
• Handle disposals in accordance with contract requirements
• Perform hardware repairs on in-warranty kit and liaise with vendors for parts and returns
• Replenish lockers as appropriate
• Identify potential service issues or improvements and report to the Team Leader
• Follow all processes and procedures from the Authority, including site regulations
