Job Title: 2nd Line IT Support Technician

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our expanding service desk team in Hove. The successful candidate will play a crucial role on our service desk and will have opportunities for career advancement.

The Role:

As a 2nd Line IT Support Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and overseeing multiple tickets and projects.
  • Providing technical support within the team and handling 2nd line tickets and projects.
  • Maintaining and updating IT documentation.
  • Meeting and exceeding SLAs.
  • Communicating effectively with both customers and staff.
  • Reporting directly to and collaborating closely with the senior management team.
  • This role is primarily office-based with some onsite work as required.
Key Skills and Requirements:
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Proven experience managing multiple tickets and requests in a high-pressure environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and strong engagement abilities.
  • Experience in 2nd Line Service Desk support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, and NPS.
  • Knowledge of network technologies such as firewalls, switches, routers, and Wi-Fi.
  • Experience with cloud solutions, particularly Microsoft Office 365 and Azure.
  • Familiarity with storage solutions like NAS and SharePoint.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Competence in Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools.
  • Proficiency in Professional Services Automation (PSA) management.
  • Experience with document management systems is preferred.
