Data Center Electrical Engineer

Location: West London Data Centre

Join an innovative team responsible for maintaining and operating global infrastructure. As a Data Center Facilities Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of data centers, providing customers with uninterrupted access to services. Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, specialists, and managers to deliver high standards of safety and security while optimizing costs.

Responsibilities:

  1. Operate and maintain all mechanical, electrical, emergency generator, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center.
  2. Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal service level agreements.
  3. Perform maintenance tasks such as filter changes, HVAC preventive maintenance, rack power installations, and replacements of rack power distribution units and automatic transfer switches.
  4. Support Data Centre Operations technicians.
  5. Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures.
  6. Adhere to safety procedures during work activities.
  7. Take daily operational readings of mechanical and electrical equipment during routine rounds and log entries.
  8. Use the internal Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage workflows and spare parts inventory.
  9. Supervise contractors performing servicing or preventive maintenance.
  10. Respond to off-hour emergency calls as part of an on-call rotation for regional sites.
  11. Comply fully with all physical security procedures and policies.
