Electrical Shift Engineer - Data Centre | Hayes

Salary: £55,000 + Overtime + Bonus + Benefits

We're seeking a skilled Electrical Shift Engineer to help maintain the reliability and efficiency of mission-critical systems in a high-performance data centre environment. If you're passionate about preventative maintenance, rapid troubleshooting, and keeping essential infrastructure running smoothly-this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems.
Monitor Building Management System (BMS) alarms and address HVAC-related issues promptly.
Perform both preventative and reactive maintenance on critical equipment.
Collaborate with vendors to ensure service and maintenance standards are met.
Carry out regular facility walkthroughs, including meter readings on UPS, PDUs, and utilities.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve plant and infrastructure issues.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory protocols.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance activities.

What We're Looking For

Completed technical training (apprenticeship or equivalent) with 1-2 years of hands-on experience.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physically fit and capable of meeting the demands of the role.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Competency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Basic math skills for routine calculations and reporting.
