Job description

Focused on bringing in new customers for National Accounts in the BEMS market, identifying new routes to market, and developing a strong pipeline to achieve targets against the ECS business plan.

Key sales channels include PSA, FM companies, management agents, existing managed accounts, new end-user direct business, and Eon-led opportunities. You will be responsible for developing and executing a robust sales strategy that delivers consistent growth in client base, and recurring and capital revenue.

Together with our National Account team, this role will collaborate with Technical Support and Service Delivery Managers to develop customer solutions and ensure first-class service delivery and account support.

This role involves stakeholders across the ECS business, so collaboration and teamwork are essential for wider business success.

The focus will be on new business sales, developing 240 National Accounts, upselling existing services, and cross-selling wider Eon solutions.

In short, to meet and exceed sales targets for both sales and margin year on year.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Identify new routes to market and develop this client base with support from regions and National accounts, focusing on the BEMS market.
  2. Work with the existing 240 National Accounts team & preferred suppliers to target new customers, assessing opportunity size/spend and setting standard terms aligned with the national strategy and pricing models.
  3. Manage contracts to meet KPIs and achieve spend targets/GM levels across all regions.
  4. Create and develop client-specific Account Development Plans (ADPs) and engagement strategies.
  5. Report monthly and quarterly on plans, competition, future opportunities, and current performance.
  6. Promote and sell the Eon brand and understand all sales propositions.
  7. Maintain a customer-focused approach, delivering outstanding service proactively.
  8. Build long-term relationships with existing and new key contacts and decision-makers.
  9. Schedule regular contact with clients via phone and email.
  10. Coordinate with sales and project teams to set clear objectives for winning business.
  11. Own the bid process and ensure governance with senior management and technical teams.

Experience and Qualities
  • Proven experience in target-driven, engineered solutions sales environments.
  • Record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in developing client-focused commercial solutions.
  • Experience managing the sales process from strategy to delivery.
  • Excellent listening, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Minimum of five years in a similar role preferred.
  • In-depth product knowledge of business development, energy legislation, bid management, BEMS, and data analytics is ideal.
  • Existing relationships with contractors, end users, and consultants are advantageous.
