Job Description

Directories-listed Environmental law department in London is looking to recruit an Environmental lawyer with 3 or more years’ PQE. The team advises industrial, commercial, and public service clients on all aspects of Environmental law, providing:

• Strategic and operational compliance advice
• Regulatory enforcement advice and representation
• Advice on Environmental issues in transactions and projects

They also handle a wide range of natural capital, climate change, and sustainability matters. Specific areas include:

• Net zero, carbon, biodiversity, and natural capital advice, including nature-based solutions, offsetting, and EU/UK ETS compliance
• Environmental aspects of major infrastructure consenting and development, such as onshore & offshore renewables, carbon capture & storage, new water resources, and climate change resilience projects
• Regulatory advice on remediation liability, nuclear regulation, water licensing, waste management, environmental permitting, extended producer responsibility, F-Gas, WEEE, etc.

The Environment Team actively participates in the firm’s multidisciplinary Climate and Sustainability Advisory Practice. Environmental lawyers are a key part of this team, which includes specialist lawyers, public policy professionals, and the sustainability consulting team.
