Job description

Large commercial law firm in London is looking to recruit two Employment lawyers – one with 0 to 1 years’ PQE and the other with 3 or more years’ PQE.

The team handles complex, high-profile, and high-stakes cases, acting for both employers and senior executives. They regularly address significant legal issues such as diversity and gender pay, employment status, the gig economy, and data privacy. Known for strategic litigation expertise, they frequently appear in courts like the Employment Appeal Tribunal, Court of Appeal, and Supreme Court.

Their work encompasses the full spectrum of contentious and non-contentious employment law, serving clients across various sectors, notably financial services, fashion and retail, luxury, and media. They have extensive experience with LLPs, private equity, and venture capital firms.

The role involves advising clients (both employers and employees) on contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including:

  • discrimination
  • restrictive covenants
  • HR advisory
  • TUPE
  • unfair dismissal
  • redundancies
  • settlement agreements
  • data theft and confidential information misappropriation
  • employment aspects of corporate transactions and contractual issues

Additionally, there are opportunities to handle litigation in Employment Tribunal, High Court, and appellate courts. The role also encourages involvement in business development and networking activities within the department.
