Job description

Our Aylesford site has an exciting opportunity for a Stock Controller to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Salary and Working Hours

Salary: £31,673 per annum.

Working hours: Wednesday - Saturday, 6pm - 6am.

Role Purpose

The purpose of a Stock Controller is to be responsible for the day-to-day functions of the Stock Control and Warehouse Administration area, ensuring that daily tasks are carried out effectively and timely to support site operations.

Key Duties
  1. Inputting all pre-advises of inbound goods accurately and in a timely manner.
  2. Communicating any pre-advice not received within agreed timescales to the customer for a speedy resolution.
  3. Liaising with the Stock & Admin Controllers to support and complete stock counts, PI, inventory investigations, and other key inventory functions.
  4. Carrying out physical stock checks as required and investigating stock anomalies thoroughly.
  5. Replenishing pick locations.
  6. Communicating stock amendments to the customer promptly and professionally.
  7. Generating pick notes, delivery, and post-picking documentation accurately within operational timeframes.
  8. Maintaining all relevant KPI reporting documents correctly.
  9. Performing other administrative duties accurately within agreed timescales.
  10. Checking daily incident reports and undertaking investigations to resolve issues.
Qualifications
Essential
  • Hardworking and conscientious with great attention to detail.
  • Strong PC skills, especially with Microsoft Office applications like Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
Desirable
  • Understanding of stock control processes and procedures.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations such as goods in, picking, and dispatch.
