Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee and coordinate fire safety projects, particularly related to fire stopping and fire doors. This role involves end-to-end project management—from scoping and contractor sourcing to client liaison, performance monitoring, and final project sign-off.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and confirm project scopes in line with client requirements and relevant fire safety standards
- Source, vet, and appoint contractors for fire stopping and fire door works
- Liaise with clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing updates and addressing any queries or concerns
- Ensure contractor compliance with health & safety regulations and fire safety legislation
- Monitor progress and performance, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard
- Conduct site visits as needed to assess progress, quality, and compliance
- Manage project documentation, including RAMS, permits, and installation records
- Review and sign off on completion reports and ensure all certification and supporting documents are received
- Work closely with internal teams to coordinate resources and share project updates
Requirements
- Proven experience in project management, compliance, or fire safety-related projects
- Knowledge of fire stopping and fire door regulations (e.g., BS 476, BS EN 1634, BM TRADA)
- Ability to manage multiple contractors and projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational and reporting skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to (if required)
Desirable Qualifications
- FIRAS or BM TRADA accreditation or experience working with certified contractors
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or other health and safety certification (would be advantageous)
