Sales Receptionist (Part-time) – Isle of Wight

Salary: competitive + discretionary quarterly bonus

Isle of Wight is a state-of-the-art boutique facility equipped with a wide range of top-of-the-range equipment and technology. We are looking for someone ambitious, capable, and reliable, who is ready to use their entrepreneurial and business skills, foster a strong team ethos, and help build a safe, inspirational community gym for members to enjoy 24/7.

The Role

We are seeking a Sales Receptionist to provide a first-class experience to members, prospective members, and visitors. You should have the experience, energy, and enthusiasm to assist in managing daily operations. Your responsibilities include supporting the General Manager in running all aspects of the club, with a focus on selling new memberships and ensuring members have a great experience.

This is a part-time role with potential to grow into full-time. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required.

Your daily focus will involve:

  • Growing a pipeline of prospects, driving new membership sales, and retaining existing members
  • Creating an excellent first impression by providing a warm welcome, maintaining a tidy appearance, and displaying a pleasant manner
  • Providing exceptional customer service to all members and guests
  • Greeting members and visitors at reception
  • Checking in members and verifying membership details
  • Registering prospective members and directing them appropriately
  • Enrolling new members and assisting current members with queries
  • Providing information on classes and availability
  • Handling questions about membership renewal and cancellation
  • Ensuring safety and security at all times
  • Handling telephone inquiries and supporting member retention calls
  • Maintaining accurate records of queries, complaints, lost property, and repairs, and delegating issues to relevant staff
  • Focusing on completing daily tasks, answering emails, and responding to phone calls
  • Performing other duties, including cleaning duties as needed
