Technical Sales & Key Account Manager - Business Development - Bespoke Engineered Solutions - Midlands / UK / On the Road

A brilliant self-starter position in sales managing £5 million or key accounts. Salary: £52,000 - £58,000 with company car or car allowance, fuel card, and a very generous bonus structure. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. Lots of autonomy.

Responsibilities include selling precision engineering solutions into automotive, manufacturing, and construction sectors. This is an opportunity to make a name for yourself in a thriving SME!

Key Focus:

  1. 70% Account Management and Account Growth
  2. 30% New Business Development

Customer Segments:

  • 70% Automotive Accounts
  • 30% Construction and Manufacturing Accounts

Role involves field sales, on the road, in the office, with a proactive technical sales opportunity. It focuses on high-quality bespoke solutions and cross-selling other group services and solutions.

It is all about revenue, new account acquisition, and account development. We are looking for dynamic business development experience in selling solutions into UK manufacturing. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, focused on new business development, with 5+ years of experience selling into UK manufacturing.

We seek a very proactive, new business hunter who wants to make this role their own! An SME mentality (not corporate) is required. Hands-on self-starter!

Location: Warwickshire-based HQ (SME Group UK Manufacturer with £30 million turnover)

Candidate Requirements:

  • 5+ years selling technical/engineering solutions into UK manufacturing
  • Contacts and experience with target customers in Automotive, Construction, or Manufacturing
  • Field sales experience with a self-starter growth mentality
  • Upbeat, can-do personality with drive and strong work ethic
  • Mechanical qualification is a bonus but not essential
  • Ability to communicate effectively with target customers
  • Self-motivated, transparent, down-to-earth, strong communicator

Reporting to the Sales Director, there is an opportunity over the next 3 years to build a team or remain as a senior BDM and senior account manager—create your own path!

The role involves supplying manufacturing with engineered parts and solutions, with openness to cross-selling and up-selling solutions.

This is a brilliant Midlands-based technical sales role for an ambitious Senior Technical Salesperson.
