SIG Plc. is a leading supplier of specialist building materials to trade customers across Europe with strong positions in its core markets as a specialist distributor of insulation and interiors products and as a merchant of roofing and exteriors products.

We are currently looking to recruit a Project Sales Manager who will grow sales opportunities on Nominated Major Projects for the Midlands.
What does the role involve?

As a project manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. The development of sales on major new build projects, supporting both the head of Sector and local branches.
  2. Relationship management with existing and targeted new customers on the project, including the development and maintenance of structured account plans to ensure the achievement of sales and margin targets.
  3. Maintenance of customer records and plans up to date utilizing the company's processes and CRM system.
  4. Management of projects, capturing all new Tier 1 contractors and sub-contractors involved.
  5. Building strong relationships with Tier 1 contractors and securing packages aligned with our key alliance supply partners.
  6. Collaborating with branches, the heads of Sector, and SIG’s specialist teams to develop SIG’s presence on the project.
  7. Holding weekly on-site meetings with key stakeholders.
The successful candidate will require:
  • Customer-facing sales experience
  • Knowledge of the construction industry
  • Some form of account management experience is ideal but not essential
  • Ability to win sales business
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Business acumen to proactively manage customer portfolios
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office tools
