Job summary

QinetiQ Limited is seeking an Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Engineer for Boscombe Down. You will join the E3 Team to support test and evaluation activities across aircraft and land platforms, delivering technical work under the Project Manager and Technical Lead.

The role sits within RF/Electronics and EMC/EW/RCS domains, requiring EMC/EMI knowledge, EM theory, and DEF STAN 59-411 familiarity. A UK driving licence and SC clearance eligibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Electrical/Electronic Eng or Physics qualification (HND or equivalent).
• Desirable degree in Electrical/Electronic Eng or Physics.
• Evidence of ongoing learning and development.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Working within the E3 Team supporting safe and effective test and evaluation activities mainly with aircraft and Land Platforms.
• Providing technical expertise in a customer-facing and delivery-focused environment.
• Understanding customers’ problems and contributing to innovative solutions.
• Producing written documentation (including presentations) per Project requirements.
• Identifying project technical risks and supporting project managers.
