Brakes has an opportunity for an Indirect Goods and Services Procurement Manager to join the Indirect Goods and Services procurement team (IG&S) within the Merchandising department on a full-time, permanent basis.
Reporting to the Head of Indirect Goods & Services, the Indirect Procurement Manager's role is integral to delivering and managing a reliable and efficient supplier base for the effective running of our business.
The IG&S team manages a diverse range of areas including utilities, fuel, trucks, cars, transport, warehousing, facilities, stationery, and uniforms across all Sysco GB companies. You will be responsible for sourcing goods and services of the right quality, service, and price, maintaining robust contract positions, minimizing risks, and maximizing benefits.
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring one or two weekly visits to the Ashford, Kent office, so candidates must be within a commutable distance.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar Buyer or Procurement role and be seeking to advance their career within a global organization.
You should be a confident communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, and enjoy working in cross-functional teams, building strong relationships internally and externally to maximize value.
Strong numerical and analytical skills are essential for delivering insights and guiding category strategies. Additionally, you should possess excellent planning, organizational, and prioritization skills, with resilience to meet tight deadlines.
