Job description

A specialist independent school in Windsor is looking to appoint a Science Teacher to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2025.

The school supports children and young people aged 5 to 16 with Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and associated learning difficulties. The provision is built around small class sizes, a high staff-to-pupil ratio, and a therapeutic, inclusive approach to education that places the needs of the individual at the heart of learning.

About the role:
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a broad and engaging curriculum across KS3 and KS4, adapting your approach to suit the individual needs and abilities of each pupil. You will work alongside a team of committed teaching and support staff, as well as specialists in pastoral and therapeutic care. The school provides a nurturing environment where positive relationships and high expectations are the foundation for success.

Key details:

  • Start date: September 2025

  • Contract type: Permanent, Full-Time

  • Salary range: £31,650 to £49,084 per annum (dependent on experience)

  • Location: Windsor, Berkshire (SL4 area)

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Have experience teaching Science at secondary level (KS3 and KS4)

  • Show a clear understanding of SEN, SEMH, ASC or alternative provision

  • Be able to plan, deliver, and assess lessons that are inclusive and engaging

  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills

  • Be committed to the wider school community and personal professional development
