We are working with a specialist independent school in Windsor to appoint a full-time, permanent Teacher of English starting in September 2025.
The school offers tailored education for children and young people aged 5 to 16 with a range of additional needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). The provision is nurturing, highly individualised, and designed to ensure that every child can access education in a meaningful and inclusive way.
About the role:
As an English Teacher, you will deliver creative and engaging lessons at KS3 and KS4, supporting pupils to develop their literacy, communication, and confidence. The role involves adapting materials and assessments to suit individual needs and working collaboratively with the wider team, including SEN staff and therapists, to ensure each pupil has a consistent and structured learning experience.
Contract type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary range: £31,650 to £49,084 per annum (dependent on experience)
Location: Windsor, Berkshire (SL4 area)
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 and KS4)
Be confident in differentiating lessons and supporting SEN pupils
Show an understanding of SEMH and therapeutic approaches to learning
Be calm, empathetic, and resilient under pressure
Have a commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
