About the M25 Project

The M25 is one of our Flagship projects in the UK, serving over 200,000 vehicles daily. It is a critical part of the UK Strategic Road Network, including around 800 structures and 5 tunnels, requiring high performance, continuous improvement, and repairs.

Join Our Team as an Inspections Lead

We have established a joint venture, Connect Plus Services (CPS), to operate and maintain the M25 under a 30-year contract. We are seeking an Inspections Lead to oversee statutory and contractual inspections, working closely with asset delivery teams to define inspection programs, data requirements, and cost targets. The role involves ensuring quality, meeting deadlines, and strategizing inspection delivery, either through internal resources or outsourced specialists.

Key Responsibilities

1. Safety: Demonstrate leadership in safety standards, promote behavioral safety, and ensure safety practices are followed by all team members and subcontractors.
2. Reporting and Compliance: Ensure all inspections comply with laws and policies. Prepare and present monthly inspection reports to clients and leadership.
3. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the main contact for stakeholders regarding inspections, escalate issues promptly.
4. Resource Allocation: Collaborate with delivery leads to allocate resources efficiently, ensuring project deadlines and quality standards are met.
5. Process Ownership: Take responsibility for inspection processes, including scheduling, execution, and quality control, while leading process improvements.
6. People Leadership: Lead and develop a large inspection team, including supply chain inspectors, ensuring understanding of targets and fostering productivity and staff development.
7. Budget Management: Monitor and manage inspection budgets, implementing corrective actions to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large inspection programs or similar activities across multiple asset types.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, preferably in a matrix organization.
• Ability to handle multiple projects under pressure.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• Certifications: PMP or similar, SMSTS qualification.
