  • Daily Rate: £90
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract: Long-term

Elevate Supply is supporting an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ primary school in Unsworth looking for a confident and supportive SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This long-term role is ideal for someone with experience supporting children with additional needs in a mainstream classroom setting.

About The Role

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND.
  • Supporting children with a range of needs including autism, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement learning and behaviour strategies
  • Promoting pupil engagement, inclusion, and independence
  • Supporting with communication tools and personalised interventions

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school
  • Calm, consistent and confident when managing behaviour and needs
  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Knowledge of autism, sensory needs, or emotional regulation strategies
  • Any relevant training (e.g. Team Teach, PECS, Makaton) is beneficial
