Senior Care Assistant - Required at Birkin Lodge Nursing Home in Tunbridge Wells, Part of the Country Court Family

Hours: 33 Hours per week available, working weekends on rota (Shift Times 07.30-19.30 )

Located in Tunbridge Wells & just 10 minutes from the train station, Birkin Lodge Nursing Home offers compassionate family-led nursing & residential care. Led by the manager the staff create an environment for the residents where they feel comfortable & safe.

ABOUT THE SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT ROLE

Within your role as a Senior Care Assistant, you can really make a difference to our residents' lives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Aiding residents emotional well-being and social needs
  • Administration and monitoring of medications to residents.
  • Supporting residents at meals time
  • Mentor & assist new employees.
  • Implement, monitor and review care plans to meet residents specific needs.
  • Plan, allocate & supervise the work of the team of care assistants

  • Experience as a Senior Care Assistant & leading a team.
  • Have a friendly & caring attitude.
  • Experience of administrating medication
  • Able to engage well with the residents and their families.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social care or willing to work towards this.
  • Great communication skills, both written & verbal.
