Job description

An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a motivated Senior Support Worker to work in an exceptional care home based in the Diss, Ipswich area. You will be working for one of the UK's leading healthcare providers.

This care home provides support to residents with residential, respite, and dementia care needs.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent

Key duties include:

  • Recognising and facilitating residents' daily needs
  • Conducting supervisions and appraisals
  • Contributing to care planning and supporting team development
  • Promoting services to relatives, prospective residents, and inquiries
  • Updating and writing care plans and documentation
  • Assessing and reporting on residents' needs to ensure continuity of care
  • Administering medication in accordance with policies and procedures

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Experience working in a care setting
  • Team player
  • Good communication skills
  • Genuine desire to care for others

Salary and benefits:

  • £13.00 per hour, with an annual salary of £24,336
  • Permanent full-time role, 36 hours/week, night shifts
  • Mileage paid at 25p per mile (T&C's apply)
