Location: Hybrid Working: Home/Office - London

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced business development professional to join us.

Global Market Summits has been established in the conferences industry for over 10 years and leads the Manufacturing sector with talks across the EU and US.

We serve the world’s leading manufacturing executives with our international benchmarking and networking summits across Europe and the USA, addressing key industry issues and trends.

The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will secure new commercial partners and sponsorship revenue globally. You will manage the delivery of booked clients and expand client relationships across international summits.

You will sell across various conference portfolios throughout the year, building new business and driving commercial success across our international events.

* Please note, employees are required to attend the office 3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday & Thursday).

Responsibilities

  • Understand client challenges and how our products meet those needs.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our products, industry, and competitors.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients and develop profitable solutions.
  • Pitch to C-level executives and directors within the manufacturing sector.
  • Collaborate with marketing, production, and operations teams for successful events.
  • Work with the Sales Director on revenue forecasts, sales reports, and pipeline management.
  • Identify potential customers through various media and sources.
  • Achieve revenue targets across our events portfolio.
  • Manage new business and existing client accounts.

Ideal Candidate

  • Professional, goal-oriented, with a focus on telephone sales.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • At least 2 years of B2B event sales experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient with LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, and social networks.
  • Experience with CRM systems, preferably HubSpot.
  • Self-motivated, determined, and willing to work hard to increase earnings.

Package:

  • Base Salary: £35-40k based on experience.
  • Commission: 3.5% up to 10% of deal value, paid monthly.
  • Expected Year 1 Earnings: approximately £65,000 based on 2022 figures.
