About the Role

Our client, a leading manufacturer based in Newcastle under Lyme, is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join their team. The role involves supporting both new and existing customers, with a preference for candidates local to Stoke on Trent due to the need for good geographical knowledge and regular client visits.

Key Responsibilities

1. Liaise with existing customers to identify opportunities for quotes and secure contracts
2. Utilize resources to track and contact current and potential clients
3. Identify and target new markets for products
4. Plan and manage territory according to market development strategies
5. Prioritize activities and customer contacts to meet business goals
6. Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal departmental meetings
7. Assist in preparing customer estimates and support the internal sales team
8. Respond to sales inquiries and follow up accordingly
9. Monitor market trends and competitor activities
10. Participate in training to develop relevant knowledge

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Professional demeanor and excellent communication and organizational skills
• Good time management skills
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment (preferred)
