Finance Manager (Client-Facing Role - US Account)
Location: UK-based with remote collaboration
Working Pattern: Hybrid, 4 days in office
Reporting: To CFO
Salary: up to £70,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

A forward-thinking consultancy is looking for a detail-driven and proactive Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of a long-standing client based in the United States. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised finance professional with broad experience and a hands-on approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with project managers to monitor budgets, track costs, and report on project financial performance.
• Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and cash flow summaries.
• Manage all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for the US-based client team.
• Participate in regular virtual finance meetings (weekly/bi-weekly) with the client.
• Line manage a small finance team (1-2 direct reports).
• Forecast cash flow using Lucernex.
• Track monthly capex spending using Xero.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring full compliance with HMRC regulations.
• Manage supplier onboarding and raise purchase orders.
• Oversee daily bank reconciliations.
• Handle invoice processing, approvals, and payments to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain daily cash trackers and provide ongoing cash flow oversight.
• Maintain financial records using Xero.
• Liaise directly with suppliers as required.

Candidate Requirements:

• At least 5 years' experience in a finance role.
• A recognised finance qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of UK VAT regulations and capital allowances.
• Proficiency in Xero (or similar accounting software).
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling.
• Proven experience managing budgets and supporting project teams.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
• Self-starter with a proactive, can-do attitude.
