Job description

Are you an experienced Sales Manager keen to support solutions within the manufacturing sector? If so, the following permanent role could be for you.

My client is a leading manufacturer of custom-made steel door solutions in the Newcastle-under-Lyme area. They are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to provide support to both new and existing customers.

This exciting role encompasses both leadership and operational responsibilities across a defined geographic area. The RSM will ensure alignment with company goals by implementing sales strategies, including interior, exterior, commercial, and specialty doors.

You Will Be Responsible For
  • Communicating with existing customers to ensure opportunities to quote and secure contracts
  • Using the Sales Database to track and contact existing and potential customers
  • Utilizing resources such as the internet and trade journals to identify potential future business
  • Locating and targeting new markets for our products
  • Planning and prioritising activities and customer/prospect contact to achieve business goals, including costs and sales
  • Managing territory according to market development strategy
  • Managing product pricing and margins
  • Assisting in preparing customer estimates and supporting the sales team in generating quotes
  • Using contact activities tools and updating relevant information in systems
  • Responding to sales enquiries and following up appropriately
  • Monitoring and reporting on market and competitor activities
You Will Have
  • 3+ years experience in a similar sales role
  • Familiarity with door manufacturing and hardware (highly desirable)
  • Knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques
  • A good standard of Maths and English
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks
  • Resilience and capacity to handle a large workload
  • Professional demeanour
