This position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and is responsible for receiving, preparing, and delivering prescriptions accurately and timely. Ensuring adequate inventory levels to meet patients' needs, counseling patients with appropriate documentation, and creating awareness and education through public relations are key responsibilities.

What you'll do

• Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and timely for patients.
• Maintain adequate inventory levels of medications and over-the-counter supplements to meet patients' needs.
• Counsel patients regarding new and additional medications in a friendly, positive, and proactive manner.
• Create awareness and educate customers through public relations activities (public health days, clinics, etc.).
• Provide timely and positive resolutions to patients' needs and doctors' requests/issues.
• Review and control costs within the Loblaw Pharmacy dispensary.
• Provide ongoing training for new and existing pharmacy colleagues, including technicians, interns, students, and IPGs.

What you'll need :

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacist license are required.
• Superior customer relation skills and a strong sense of professionalism.
• Excellent leadership and performance management skills.
• Proven ability to build the business using community-based marketing strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including experience in formulating and executing action plans.
• Strong personal computing skills, with knowledge of Healthwatch and/or KROLL Pharmacy Computer systems being an asset.
