Job summary

Chartwells Independent in Sheffield is hiring an Assistant (Zero Hours) to help ensure the smooth operation of our outlets on a permanent casual basis, contracted to 0 hours per week.

You will prepare drinks, serve high-quality food, process payments, keep the bar tidy, learn brewing methods, and represent the brand with a positive image. Ideal candidates will have customer service experience and be able to work under pressure with reliability.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Reliable with good timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Preparing drinks and serving high-quality food.
• Keeping the bar area clean.
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and cards).
• Being an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator.
• Maintaining stock of clean mugs and plates.
• Learning about brewing methods and presentation techniques.
• Check brewing equipment operates correctly and report maintenance needs.
• Representing Chartwells with a positive brand image.
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations.
