Job summary

Chartwells Independent is seeking an Assistant (Zero Hours) to help ensure the smooth running of operations on a permanent casual basis, contracted to 0 hours per week. As an Assistant (Zero Hours), you will prepare drinks, serve food, handle payments, maintain hygiene, and work with the team to uphold Chartwells' high standards.

Prior customer service experience and strong communication are valued, with opportunities to progress within the company.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service.
• Brilliant communicator with relationship-building skills.
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Preparing drinks and serving food to a high standard.
• Keeping the bar area clean.
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and credit cards).
• Being an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator.
• Maintaining stock of clean mugs and plates.
• Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation and presentation techniques.
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs.
• Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations.
