Job summary

Chartwells is recruiting an Assistant (Zero Hours) to support daily operations on a permanent casual basis, contracted to 0 hours per week. The role involves drinks preparation, food service, and flexible shifts within a dynamic team.

You will assist with bar duties, handle payments, maintain cleanliness, and learn brewing techniques while contributing to a positive brand image and high service standards.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain standards.
• Hands-on experience with beverage preparation.
• Willingness to learn brewing methods.

Responsibilities

• Preparing drinks and serving food that delights customers.
• Keeping the bar area clean and organized.
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and card).
• Being an enthusiastic team player and effective communicator.
• Maintaining stock of mugs and plates.
• Learning about brewing methods and beverage blends.
• Checking brewing equipment operates correctly and reporting maintenance needs.
• Representing Chartwells and upholding brand image.
• Complying with Food Handling and Hygiene standards.
• Complying with Health and Safety regulations.
