Job summary

Chartwells Independent is seeking an Assistant (Zero Hours) to help run the operations and deliver high-quality service in our hospitality team. You will prepare drinks, serve food, handle payments and keep the bar area clean.

As a casual zero-hours role, shifts are flexible and you will work as part of a supportive team within Compass Group UK&I's Chartwells education catering network, with opportunities to develop and progress through on-the-job training and excellent staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or frontline hospitality is preferred.
• Great communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages and serve high-quality food to customers.
• Keep the bar area clean and maintained.
• Process payments (cash and cards) accurately.
• Be a proactive team player and clear communicator.
• Assist with stock and brewing knowledge as needed.
• Follow food hygiene and health & safety standards.
