Job summary

Adore Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Tilbury to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations and support the Warehouse Manager. This hands-on role requires ensuring safe, efficient work and adherence to company standards.

You will supervise workloads, monitor KPIs, maintain records, assist with recruitment and induction, manage MHE maintenance, and uphold housekeeping and security. Strong leadership, good IT skills, and knowledge of health and safety are essential; flexibility

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a warehouse or team leader role.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse and logistics operations.
• Solid understanding of Health & Safety and SOPs.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proven leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient IT skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of freight forwarding, customs or supply chain is a plus.
• Willingness to work additional hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and allocate workloads to the warehouse team.
• Ensure all warehouse activities follow SOPs and Health & Safety procedures.
• Monitor and achieve daily/weekly warehouse KPIs.
• Ensure documentation and records are completed accurately.
• Support recruitment and induction of additional warehouse staff.
• Monitor MHE maintenance and report faults.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and site security.
• Ensure staff training and development is kept up to date.
• Deal with performance and operational issues effectively.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency.
