Job summary

First Base Employment is recruiting for a Transport & Logistics Administrator in Heysham. This office-based, full-time role supports transport coordination, fleet servicing, and customer requirements in a fast-paced industrial setting.

You will schedule daily transport, manage driver bookings, maintain records, ensure compliance with UK regulations, and collaborate with warehouse and customer service teams to optimise service levels.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics, scheduling, or similar operational support.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own transport.
• IT confidence with transport systems and spreadsheets.
• Knowledge of UK transport regulations; CPC knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transport schedules, vehicle allocations, and driver bookings.
• Monitor transport operations and assist with delays or issues.
• Serve as contact for drivers, customers, and service partners.
• Maintain bookings, delivery notes, compliance docs, and service logs.
• Support transport compliance with UK regulations and procedures.
• Arrange vehicle maintenance and third-party servicing.
