Job summary

Sewell Wallis Ltd is partnering with a fast-paced North Sheffield business to recruit a transactional finance officer to join the finance team. The role focuses on day-to-day transactional work while offering exposure to month-end processes and financial reporting.

You will handle reconciliations, supplier invoices, purchase ledger tasks, and assist with analysis and balance sheet reconciliations as you develop accounting knowledge in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering day-to-day transactional finance duties.

Responsibilities

• Performing daily reconciliations of bank accounts.
• Processing supplier invoices and matching to purchase orders.
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries.
• Reviewing purchase orders and setting up supplier accounts.
• Monitoring credit card expenditure and coding expenses.
• Supporting month-end processes including accruals and prepayments.
• Assisting with financial analysis and management accounts as experience develops.
• Gaining exposure to audit and VAT processes.
