Sewell Wallis Ltd in North Sheffield is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. You will handle day-to-day transactional finance with a focus on accuracy and timeliness, while gaining exposure to month-end routines and financial reporting.

The role covers bank reconciliations, processing supplier invoices and credit notes, maintaining the purchase ledger and reviewing supplier statements. It offers a competitive salary around £30,000, pension contributions and excellent long-term

Qualifications

• Experience with purchase ledger processes and supplier invoices.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliations of company bank accounts.
• Process supplier invoices and PO matching.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice queries.
• Review POs and set up new supplier accounts.
• Monitor credit card expenses and correct coding.
• Support month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with management accounts and financial reporting.
• Gain exposure to audit and VAT processes.
