Job summary

Sewell Wallis Ltd are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join the finance team in North Sheffield. You will take ownership of transactional finance and support month-end processes, with scope to develop your technical accounting knowledge.

You will handle daily bank reconciliations, supplier invoices and ledgers, and assist with financial reporting and analysis as your experience develops. A strong Excel ability and keen attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with purchase ledger and supplier invoices.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate financial records.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily bank reconciliations.
• Process supplier invoices and credit notes, match to PO and goods received.
• Obtain and reconcile monthly supplier statements and resolve queries.
• Review purchase orders and set up supplier accounts, verify bank details.
• Review credit card expenditure and coding with supporting documents.
• Support month-end processes including accruals and prepayments.
• Assist with financial analysis, reporting and management accounts.
