Job summary

Sewell Wallis Ltd is currently recruiting an Interim Commercial Finance Manager to support financial control, commercial decision-making and business growth in South Yorkshire.

The role is a 6-month fixed-term contract, ideally on-site in north Sheffield, with hybrid options for travel beyond the region. You will partner with the Head of Commercial Finance and lead a small team to drive insightful financial reporting and improvements.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Manufacturing experience, 1–3 years preferred.
• Experience in business partnering or commercially focused finance.
• Strong product costing knowledge and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Act as financial lead across accounting activities.
• Deputise for Head of Commercial Finance when required.
• Lead and develop a small team of direct reports.
• Partner with commercial leaders providing insight into results.
• Support product costing and pricing decisions.
• Forecast consolidation with variance analysis.
• Provide commercial decision support and financial insight.
• Oversee turnover and intercompany transactions control.
• Support finance change initiatives and process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to challenge processes.
