Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with a maximum of 6 points.
• Experience at a trade counter, in retail, warehouse or distribution is desirable.
• Strong customer service skills with clear verbal communication.
• Basic numeracy for cash handling and stock counting.
• Ability to work independently and in a small team under busy periods.
• Physically fit for lifting and carrying items per manual handling guidance.
• Proficient with basic IT systems, email and stock control/POS software.
• A can-do attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Serve trade and retail customers at the counter, process sales and check stock.
• Unpack deliveries, label/store stock and rotate inventory.
• Prepare customer orders for collection and delivery.
• Carry out local deliveries using company vehicles and secure loads.
• Operate POS systems and handle cash, card, and accounts transactions.
• Keep counter and yard tidy and safe; support housekeeping and waste disposal.
• Assist with stocktakes and report discrepancies to management.
• Provide phone and email support for orders and product queries.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and vehicle checks before shifts.
