Job summary

Randstad Education in Chorley is seeking Level 2/3 qualified Teaching Assistants for flexible November short-term and day-to-day assignments, with January long-term placements available across partner primary schools in Chorley and nearby areas.

You will work with children individually or in groups, support pupils with SEN, and collaborate with teachers to prepare engaging activities while maintaining a safe school environment. DBS checks are welcomed, with Randstad assisting processing.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working with primary-aged pupils.
• DBS on Update Service or willingness to process one through Randstad.
• Strong interpersonal skills and confidence with positive behaviour management.

Responsibilities

• Work with children individually or in small groups to boost reading, writing and maths progress.
• Support pupils with SEN ensuring tasks are accessible, engaging and inclusive.
• Collaborate with class teachers to prepare resources, tidy spaces and set up daily activities.
• Act as a positive role model to boost confidence and behaviour.
• Supervise playtime, dining areas and school trips to maintain a safe environment.
• Provide clear feedback to teachers on student engagement and milestones.
