Job summary

Randstad Education across Lancashire primary schools is seeking Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistants for flexible, rewarding classroom work. You can choose day-to-day cover, multi-week short-term placements, or consistent long-term assignments to suit your schedule.

Immediate November starts and January 2027 placements are available, with roles designed to fit your availability. You will support reading, writing, and numeracy, assist pupils including those with additional needs, and help with

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent classroom experience).
• Experience with primary-aged children.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with children individually or in small groups to enhance reading, writing, and numeracy skills.
• Provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs or SEN.
• Assist the class teacher with resource preparation, activity setups, and classroom organisation.
• Serve as an encouraging role model, fostering self-esteem and positive behavior.
• Help oversee break times, group interventions, and school activities.
• Provide constructive feedback to the class teacher regarding student engagement and progress.

• An Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
