Job summary

Elementa Support Services Ltd is recruiting dedicated SENCOs to join its network of schools and SEND settings across North Somerset and beyond. Roles include part-time, full-time, temporary or longer-term contracts with flexible hours to suit availability.

As SENCO, you will lead SEND provision, coordinate EHCP processes, reviews and statutory requirements, and collaborate with parents, professionals and local authorities to improve outcomes for children with SEND.

Qualifications

• QTS and NASENCO or working towards NASENCO.
• Experience as SENCO or in a SEN leadership role.
• Experience in mainstream and SEND settings incl. PRUs.
• Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes.
• Experience supporting SEMH, ASD, ADHD and complex needs.
• Strong communication with parents and authorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school or setting.
• Oversee identification, assessment and support of students with additional needs.
• Coordinate EHCP processes, annual reviews and statutory requirements.
• Monitor progress and evaluate SEND provision.
• Collaborate with staff to develop strategies and interventions.
• Provide training to strengthen inclusive practice.
• Liaise with parents, external professionals and local authorities.
• Maintain SEND records and ensure documentation is complete.
• Support implementation and review of individual support plans.
• Promote an inclusive culture and compliant SEND provision.
• Ensure SEND provision complies with the SEND Code of Practice.
