Job summary

SEND Inclusion Support is seeking a dedicated SENCO for an independent preparatory school in Milton Keynes, starting September 2026. The role is part-time (2–3 days per week) and continues until further notice, offering flexible hours to support pupils with SEND.

The successful candidate will lead or coordinate SEND provision, work closely with staff, families and external agencies, and help ensure every pupil receives high-quality support to thrive within an inclusive educational setting.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience supporting children and young people with SEND.
  • Strong understanding of SEND legislation, the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive education.
  • Experience leading or coordinating SEND provision within a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, parents and external agencies.
  • Proactive and organised approach, with the ability to support high-quality provision and positive outcomes for pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

SEND Inclusion Support is recruiting on behalf of an independent preparatory school in Milton Keynes for an experienced and knowledgeable SENCO to join the school from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated SEND professional to provide specialist support on a part‑time basis, working approximately 2–3 days per week. The role will continue until further notice.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements
  • Significant experience supporting children and young people with SEND.
  • A strong understanding of SEND legislation, the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive education.
  • Experience leading or coordinating SEND provision within a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, parents and external agencies.
