Job summary

Tradewind Education is seeking a passionate Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Rotherham on a short-term basis. You will deliver engaging science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, building a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports every pupil to reach their potential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Degree in Science or relevant subject (biology, chemistry or physics).
• Experience teaching science in a secondary school.
• Ability to differentiate lessons to meet varying abilities.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering biology, chemistry and physics.
• Assess progress and provide constructive feedback to students.
• Adapt teaching methods and resources to diverse learning styles.
• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and safeguarding.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.
