Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking Teaching Assistants to support a secondary school in the NG8 area this academic year. You’ll assist across different subjects and year groups, managing behaviour and helping pupils stay on task during short-term staff absences.

Ideal candidates have experience with secondary pupils, strong communication, a calm reliability, GCSEs in English and Maths, and an Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

Qualifications

• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils.
• Strong communication and classroom management.
• Calm and reliable approach.
• GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent.
• Enhanced DBS on update service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support on a 1:1 basis.
• Support classroom behaviour.
• Working with SEND students.
• Provide feedback following lessons where required.
• Support teachers' lessons.
