Job summary

Reeson Education is partnering with a specialist SEN school in Chiswick, West London, to recruit a qualified Secondary Maths Teacher. This role involves delivering Maths to pupils across KS3/KS4 in a supportive SEN setting.

You will plan differentiated lessons, adapt the curriculum to meet diverse needs, and collaborate with teaching assistants to track progress and foster mathematical skills in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Maths at secondary level.
• Experience in SEN or specialist setting desirable.
• Good ability to adapt lessons for pupils with additional needs.
• Some experience using ICT in the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Teach Maths across KS3 and KS4 in a specialist SEN environment.
• Plan engaging, differentiated Maths lessons.
• Adapt the curriculum to meet pupils’ needs and develop functional skills.
• Use practical and creative approaches to make Maths accessible.
• Support pupils to develop mathematical and functional skills.
• Utilise ICT and basic technology within lessons where appropriate.
• Work alongside teaching assistants and specialist staff.
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to learning plans.
• Create a structured, engaging classroom environment.
