Randstad Education is seeking a confident Secondary Cover Supervisor to support schools across Brighton, Hove and coastal Sussex. You will lead classes in KS3–KS4 when the regular teacher is absent, delivering pre-set work and keeping pupils focused.

This role offers a 3:30 PM sign-off, with no marking or lesson planning, and weekly PAYE pay. It is ideal for graduates, coaches, or performers seeking hands-on leadership and classroom impact, with consistent local placements.

Formación

• Presence to command a room with enthusiasm and professional maturity.
• Backgrounds in education, youth work, sports coaching, or performing arts are highly valued.
• Standard availability during school hours (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM).
• Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the Room: Oversee classes across Key Stage 3 and 4 in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Guide Learning: Deliver pre-set work, answer pupil questions, and ensure students stay focused on their tasks.
• Set the Vibe: Maintain positive classroom behavior using clear boundaries, encouragement, and calm authority.
• End-of-Day Transition: Hand back completed work and submit brief, essential attendance notes before clocking out.
