Job summary

Randstad Education in Greater London is seeking a Secondary Cover Supervisor to oversee classes for pupils aged 11-16 across Key Stage 3 and 4 in Purley, Kenley and Riddlesdown. No lesson planning required; you will supervise pre-planned lessons and ensure students stay on task within a structured learning environment.

The role offers flexible working days, weekly pay (£95–£125 per day), access to digital tools for timesheets, and ongoing consultant support with progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising or mentoring teenagers is preferred.
• Ability to manage classrooms and keep students on task.
• Confident and encouraging leadership with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pre-planned lessons for students aged 11-16 (Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4).
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, managing the classroom using the school's behaviour policy.
• Assist students with their work, ensuring they understand the instructions left by the teacher.
• Collect completed work at the end of the lesson and pass it back to the department.
