Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Secondary Cover Supervisor to lead classes in Key Stage 3-4, with no marking or lesson planning required, delivering an instant positive impact with a 3:30 PM sign-off.

You will support secondary schools across Brighton, Hove and Sussex, with DBS Enhanced on the Update Service or willingness to apply. Competitive daily pay and weekly PAYE payments are offered.

Qualifications

• Presence: ability to command a room with enthusiasm and professional maturity.
• Versatility: backgrounds in education, youth work, sports coaching, or performing arts are valued.
• Reliability: standard availability during school hours (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM).
• Vetting: Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Room: Oversee classes across Key Stage 3 and 4 in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Guide Learning: Deliver pre-set work, answer pupil questions, keep students focused.
• Set the Vibe: Maintain positive classroom behavior with clear boundaries and calm authority.
• End-of-Day Transition: Return completed work and submit essential attendance notes.
