Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Redcar and surrounding areas. You will deliver pre-set lessons, manage behaviour, and support pupils with their work in a flexible supply capacity across full-time, part-time, long-term and day-to-day placements.

Ideal candidates will have experience with young people, strong communication/organisational skills, and be adaptable and reliable. DBS on Update Service is preferred or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in education or related settings.
• Ability to manage groups of students.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Adaptable, reliable and professional.
• Holds or is willing to obtain Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour and keep students engaged.
• Support pupils in completing the work provided.
• Create a positive, safe and productive learning environment.
• Report back to teaching staff at the end of each lesson.
