Milk Education is seeking a Cover Supervisor in Chorlton to support welcoming secondary schools on short-term, long-term, or temp-to-perm assignments. Earn £115–£125 per day with flexible full-time or part-time opportunities.

Ideal for graduates, sports coaches, youth workers, or anyone with experience working with young people who can confidently lead a classroom. You’ll join a supportive secondary school community with strong focus on wellbeing, inclusion and high expectations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people in a school, coaching, youth work, mentoring or care setting.
• Strong behaviour management skills and the confidence to lead a classroom independently.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A calm, confident and adaptable approach.
• A professional presence and ability to establish positive relationships with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Delivering pre-set lessons across a range of secondary subjects in the absence of the class teacher.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Keeping students focused, engaged and on task throughout lessons.
• Supporting pupils with their learning and responding appropriately to individual needs.
• Building positive relationships with students and school staff.
• Maintaining a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons where required.

We're currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor in Chorlton to support welcoming secondary schools on a short-term, long-term, or temp-to-perm basis. This Cover Supervisor job in Chorlton is ideal for experienced Cover Supervisors, aspiring teachers, graduates, sports coaches, youth workers, or anyone with experience working with young people who is confident leading a classroom.

You’ll be joining a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Chorlton, with a strong focus on student wellbeing, inclusion and maintaining high expectations. This is a fantastic opportunity to become a familiar face within a school community, build strong relationships with students and staff, and gain valuable experience in secondary education.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Delivering pre-set lessons across a range of secondary subjects in the absence of the class teacher

Requirements or Skills

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
