Job summary

Madison Reign Ltd is seeking Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools in Hoddesdon and surrounding areas. The role involves supervising classes during short-term absences, delivering prepared lesson plans and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Ideal candidates will have experience with young people, strong communication and classroom management skills, and a calm, adaptable approach. An Enhanced DBS is required or willing to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with young people in a school, youth work, coaching or similar environment is desirable.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Confidence in leading groups of students independently.
• A calm, adaptable and professional approach.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people's education and development.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain focused on learning.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy.
• Support students in completing classwork and encourage positive engagement.
• Attend training and professional development opportunities where appropriate.
